Following my piece last week on the work done by DueDil on the London Tech Start Up scene, I am indebted to Sam Forman from Restoration Partners for bringing the TechCityMap to my attention.
The interactive map is based on a technology platform developed by Trampoline Systems which connects the companies using a range of social media platforms and analyses their relative influence by mapping the interactions, mentions and retweets between them. This also enables connections to be made based on the similarity of the social media content.
The site also provides a list of the companies and allows you to rank them according to their TechCity followers, the mentions in past month and their influence. You can follow TechCityMap on Twitter at @TechCityMap. You can contact them at enquiries@techcitymap.com.
At the time of writing, there are 1,071 companies in the list and I am going to be fascinated to see what overlaps there are with the DueDil list that I commented on last week.
This confirms the vibrancy of the Tech Start Up Scene in London and the TechCityMap enables you to look at its social influence in real time.
