There is one must read book out there – the new biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Love him or hate him, it is very difficult to ignore him, particularly as all the news feeds are brimming with stories about Apple, iPhone 4S, iOS5 and, of course, the untimely passing of Apple’s Co-Founder, Steve Jobs
Having avoided the press and biographers while alive, Isaacson had unprecedented access to Jobs in past two years and had produced a book which tells you as much about Jobs the man as Jobs the business genius.
The BBC has a good round up of a number of reviews of the book in a post entitled “Is Steve Job’s biography accurate?” There is some criticism of Isaacson’s close relationship with Job’s and consequent questions about objectivity.
The Huffington Post has a review entitled “Steve Jobs’ Review: Walter Isaacson’s Biography Delves Deep Into Complex Apple Co-Founder’s Life” which is a broad roundup of the content and style of the book.
You will read this book either because you are fascinated by Apple, its products and its business or because you are intrigued by the complex genius who ran the company. Either Way, it is very difficult to ignore.
This video from Newsy, the multi source video news site, which I found on the Huffington Post site, is another good round up of the book and reaction to its publication.
The book is available at Amazon and, I am sure, nearly every bookstore near you!
