I have been reading a great deal about the power of video to engage interest on websites and listening to podcasts on the subject as well.
You will have noticed that I have now started to generate content, post it on YouTube and embed on the blog here too.
One site which I have found very helpful for video production advice is Tyrone Shum’s Outsourcing Live website. He has an audio and video blog too. This site focuses on video production and how to use outsourcing to make the video production process more professional and more productive. Even if you are not ready to outsource, there is masses of free content which is really informative and helpful. I have learned some really useful techniques in my run up to starting to use video. Thanks Tyrone 🙂
I thought it would be helpful to produce a brief introductory video – only 90 seconds – about myself – putting a face to a name. I have done this and now this is embedded on the front page of my site and will hopefully encourage new visitors to stay a little longer and engage.
