This is the second part of my post covering my favourite Social Media Marketing Podcasts. In the previous post I covered
The Addicted to Social Media Podcast
DishyMix hosted by Susan Bratton
For Immediate Release – The Hobson and Holz Report
GoTo Meeting – The Corporate Podcast
Here are the second group of Six and I hope you get as much benefit from their content as I do.
Larry does a great interview based show with a wide range of guests. I enjoy the informed discussion and often find myself reaching for my iphone Evernote App to make a voice recording of a follow up idea or a great takeaway. The shows last around half an hour.
John J Wall and Christopher Penn battle it out over a cappuchino! The pace is fast moving and the content opinionated – opinion in my view is a good thing! The show comes out weekly and only lasts 20 minutes but has some great ideas and content around classic and new media marketing. Just don’t spill the coffee!
Net@Night with Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte
The Net@Night and This Week in Tech are from the same stable – The TWIT network. Both feature the garrulous Mr Laporte who never fails to entertain. Net@Night is Amber Mac’s show (with Leo) and the show is a fast paced discussion of current social media issues. Amber has a book out – which is on my Christmas list – Power Friending. The show lasts around an hour.
This Week in Tech (TWIT) with Leo Laporte
This is Leo’s weekly round table discussion show. It keeps me up to date with some of the new developments in Social Media marketing and is always relevant. Leo has the sort of voice which one can listen to without tiring and is always entertaining. This show normally runs for an hour and a half to two hours.
Six Pixels of Separation with Mitch Joel
Mitch does three formats of this show; Jaffe and Joel with Joe Jaffe (see my previous post), Media Hacks which is a round table discussion with a number of regulars including Chris Brogan, Hugh McGuire, CC Chapman, Christopher Penn and Julien Smith, and his interview format where he engages in a one to one dialogue with interesting and engaging interviewees in the new media marketing space. The content is great and produced with metronomic regularity! Thanks Mitch! Shows vary in length from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on format.
10 Golden Rules of Internet Marketing with Jay Berkowitz
I have covered Jay’s podcast in a previous post but it remains a favourite even though it has been going through a hiatus over the past few months while Jay has been getting his Internet Marketing Club Community going. The 10 Golden Rules Podcast passes the great content test – I have kept the episodes and keep going back to them! Episodes last an average of 60 minutes. I hope new ones are on the way!
I hope you enjoy these podcasts as much as I do and continue the life long learning process. Please let me know about your favourite social media podcasts and vidcasts. I am sure there are some great ones out there which I have yet to discover.
Full Disclosure: I have no affiliate or commercial links with any of the podcasts covered above – I just think they are great and I want to share this with you!
